MISSION STATEMENT
To inform the public about archaeology and about information derived from the sound professional practice of archaeology through a wide range of educational programs including publications, lectures, and tours.
To promote the exchange of ideas about archaeology and scholarly information derived from archaeology through the forum of an annual meeting and through publications, regional lectures and symposia, the award of fellowships, and other appropriate activities. To represent the interests of archaeologists to governmental bodies and other organizations concerned with archaeology.
